Since April 1995, it has been possible to arrange for civil wedding ceremonies and The Hunsbury Hill Centre is a fully licensed civil ceremony venue.
Civil ceremonies don't include religious content but can be more romantic, personalised and leisurely than in a register office or church. It's really up to you to decide how formal or casual you want the ceremony to be. In addition to the statutory declarations that you make, your own choice of readings, music, poetry and vows can be added to give the day a lovely personal and meaningful feel. Photography and video recording of the complete wedding ceremony is also possible with the prior consent of the attending registrar.
