A history of The Hunsbury Hill Centre
The Hunsbury Hill Centre is an 18th Century former farm complex comprising of a main farm house, barns and outbuildings dating back over 200 years. Situated on the south western side of Northampton, the site offers impressive views over the picturesque Nene Valley.
The grade II listed buildings are built in the 'Hanoverian' tradition of a central courtyard with buildings around it (this gives us great flexibility for events that require indoor and outdoor space). They have been sympathetically converted to modern use but still retain a lot of the original charm with exposed wooden beams, stonework and solid wood flooring.
The farm house itself is the headquarters for Northamptonshire Acre which is an independent charitable organisation, working with rural communities to improve quality of life, especially for the disadvantaged to help themselves to value diversity and create a vibrant sustainable future.
